About the Role

As an Operations Specialist, you will be the partner of the Customers Data Steward Officer. You will be responsible for helping the latter in collaboration across all Operations Groups on Data Management / Stewardship matters. You will also work hand in hand with the team to ensure the effective execution of the following four main categories: Operational Oversight, Data Quality, Privacy, Security and Risk Management, and Policies & Procedures.  

How you'll contribute

  • Ensures compliance with Bank's policies and office decorum according to standards set by Human Capital Management to sustain the morale of employees and avoid diversity and discrimination 
  • Assists in preparing data standards in customers' key data elements, including data definitions (Business Data Dictionary / Glossary) based on data quality reviews, collaboration with Data Governance, Business, and Operations Units to assist in the management of data as an enterprise asset.
  • Prepares daily reports on productivity volumes using MS Office tools to help validate and align targets.
  • Gathers and Summarizes impact assessment, data quality checking/ verification results, root-cause analysis  for analysis and solution matching by Customer Data Steward officers  
  • Sets  meeting and focus discussion  with Data Quality teams - Data Governance Office, Compliance, Business, and other units as needed to finalize procedures/guidelines/ data standards 
  • Attends to Data Quality issues   in coordination with the Operations unit on data correction of errors identified by SQA 
  • Assists in the definition of policies and procedures for access to data and including the criteria for authorization based on role and/ or the individual. Working closely with data custodians to establish controls, stewards evaluate any suspected or actual breaches or vulnerabilities in confidentiality 

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/ Management, Banking, and Finance, or any related field
  • Knowledge in understanding basic terms and processes.
  • Ability to identify patterns in data and link them to business impact.
  • With knowledge in working on Microsoft Excel spreadsheets on complex datasets

Cons

    • Some leaders are still too traditional.

    • The company should focus on their salary pay. For me, it's very low.

    • Complex processes can be simplified. Benefits can be improved.

    • There is nothing too negative! If I had to answer, it would be that SBC is only present locally.
