Your role & responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Intern will work with the development team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality solution or product. They will perform and/or support testing tasks that develop product features to meet design or customer needs. Analyze/create test cases and develop automation test scripts using Selenium for HCM applications. And communicates with product developers, business analysts, and quality analysts.

A day in the life typically includes:

• Works with the development team in familiarization of QA tasks and internal processes.
• Analyze and create test cases based on design and requirements.
• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium Java/Cucumber.
• Participates in testing execution tasks both manual and automated.
• Attend daily scrum to report progress/blockers on assigned tasks.

About you

Required skills:

• Taking IT or Computer Science-related courses.
• With hands-on experience in using Java and Selenium.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java.
• Attention to detail, analytical, strategic, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and perform software testing tasks and activities.
• Utilize professional skills and functional/technical knowledge to perform essential functions.   
• Ability to maintain quality standards in writing and executing test cases, bug reporting, and verification.
• Ability to communicate issues and concerns to assigned mentor or working buddy.

Preferred qualifications:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player.
• Can cope with self-phased pieces of training and requires minimal supervision.
• Ability to analyze and understand requirements, accurately estimate task durations, and meet commitments.
