Technical Analyst Trainee at Hitachi Solutions Philippines
Bachelor of Computer Science at Polytechnic University of the Philippines
At Hitachi Solutions, we report to the office at least twice a month. Going to the office on some days helps teams build relationships and camaraderie within and outside our team.
So, what’s it like when I’m going to the office?
3.30 AM
I usually wake up around 3.30 am because I'm from Rizal Province and I want to avoid heavy traffic during rush hour. It usually takes me 2 hours to commute to BGC where our office is.
This was me trying to wake up my senses. Hahahahaha. I left our house around 4.00 am because shuttles from our place ran out quickly, and I didn’t want to be stuck in heavy traffic.
Felt good that day because it seemed like the weather was going to be nice!
7.00 AM
Time check! 7.02 am! I was quite early for my 9.00 am shift, but that's okay. I usually buy a cup of hot coffee and a Subway sandwich before heading to the office.
Look who I found! She was our supportive and approachable Learning and Development (L&D) Advocate, Ma'am Alvia Ardavilla! She got me a small token of appreciation for my contributions during the past sessions with the L&D team.
I got chocolate Kisses! My workmates at Hitachi Solutions were kind! Some workmates arrived and we took a photo for keepsake.
I went back to my workstation and set up my laptop. First, I checked and answered some emails.
I felt my tummy asking for food, so I went to the pantry to have my breakfast.
When I went back to my station, many of my teammates arrived.
9.00 AM
We started working at exactly 9.00 am. I continued my tasks and talked to my teammates about upcoming certifications, training, and projects since we have a goal for this fiscal year. A teammate even gave me food. Hahahahahaha
It’s been a thing to have a team lunch during our office reporting day. We had our food delivered by Amber. Everyone was full that day because there was too much food. I lowkey recommend Amber here.
Later in the afternoon, there was a wellness massage session for employees in the office. Unfortunately, I couldn't take a picture of it. One thing I like about this initiative is that it aims to provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities (PWDs) and give employees a relaxing massage. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone!
Our last CRM team meeting before the day ends! I guess that concludes a day in the life of a Trainee Technical Analyst – CRM in Hitachi Solutions Philippines. Here are some of the photos taken as we all went home.
9.30 PM
I got home around 9.40 pm. It was tiring but also enjoyable because I had the chance to see my colleagues.
