About Grab Philippines

Grab Philippines started in 2013 originally as GrabTaxi and became the first app-based, ride-hailing service in the country. Grab Philippines engages in mobile app-based digital payments, food and grocery deliveries, parcel, and ride-hailing services.

Your role

The role involves helping grow and optimize operations in Cebu, working with different teams within Grab, both in Manila and in the different cities in the Philippines so expect a lot of inter-department collaboration and growth hacking, but you will be primarily based in Cebu.

They need someone who is resilient to a fast-paced tech environment like Grab and takes challenges as opportunities for growth!

  • Extract data for daily and ad hoc requirements
  • Clean and tabulate data for internal analyses and external presentations
  • Build data dashboards for process optimization
  • Research and analyze feasibility and success rates of new vertical* implementations (*GrabFood, GrabExpress, GrabCar, GrabTaxi, etc.)
  • Work with the Region and City Manager to monitor the performance of each vertical in each city; go to the city to do on-the-ground research (if necessary)
  • Identify new market opportunities in the region and special projects’ planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation that will leverage these opportunities
  • Create special projects that impact business growth and brand equity to reach the targets of the region. Special projects can range from consumer market analysis to merchant engagement and conversion, etc. 
  • Track, monitor, and highlight the performance of your city and key improvement areas
  • Stay on top of market opportunities and competitive analysis

About you

  • Previous work experience is not required but is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Filipino, and Cebuano:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Proficient in data analysis and queries (SQL)
  • Proficient in data tools and dashboards (PowerBI)
  • Interested in strategy, planning, and data crunching for market growth (Having related skills and experience is a plus!)
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and resourceful in individual tasks
  • Have a collaborative and inclusive approach to team tasks
