Your role

As an Internal Tools Software Engineer Intern, you'll work with the team to develop and maintain tools using React/Next.js, Python/Flask, and C#/.NET. Gain hands-on experience across multiple impactful projects, immersing yourself in the full software development lifecycle. Learn industry best practices from experienced engineers with backgrounds at Google, Lyft, First Circle, and Edamama.

Internship Role:

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain internal software tools and applications.
• Work on projects that improve business process efficiency and support various internal departments.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing internal applications.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends in software development and make suggestions for improvements to processes and workflows.
• Participate in team meetings and provide regular status updates on projects.
• Complete assigned tasks on time and with a high level of quality.

About you

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Coding fundamentals - knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures and a strong command of at least one programming language.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
• Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and debug issues. 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications. While not mandatory, possessing more of these is advantageous:

• Experience with HTML/CSS/Javascript.
• Experience with Python, C#, or SQL databases.
• Experience building web pages or web applications for school or side projects.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
