FMIDC was established in 1993 as a supplier of a wide range of products. In 1996, it pioneered in providing preventive maintenance for the telecommunication industry. The position is responsible for the acquisition of all electrical, mechanical, and civil work projects. Evaluates Bill of Materials/Bill of Quantity (BOM/BOQ) and ensures compliance with project requirements e.g., standards, quality and performance, cost, schedule, and safety. Responsible for sourcing for suppliers and contractors technical capability, operations, and logistics capability. Responsible for supplier selection and price negotiation of assigned requirements for acquisition. The job holder works cross-functionally with other departments e.g., Sales, Technical & Genset Team to achieve cost efficiency on projects and other acquisition requirements.
For internships, they have a job training program for entry-level engineers. They will be exposed to day-to-day operational/service/technical tasks so that they can assume an engineering post after having sufficient training and showing a good performance. Interested candidates for this position must be willing to travel and do field- work within and outside the office.
