GDS SAP SD Consultant
The opportunity
The SAP SD Team covers the entire chain of processes (order to cash) from customer inquiries, sales order generation up to delivery on customer destination of choice through invoicing and payment collection. Logistics Execution is highly integrated which includes picking, packing and shipping. At present, the team is comprised of experienced hires with end to end implementation and application maintenance experience.
Your key responsibilities
After completion of training course, they will provide SAP SD Technology Consulting services based on the requirements of the project assigned into which involves acting as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
They will perform gap analysis of various business process requirements and will provide best practice solutions. This will entail design, development, customization, and configuration of SD objects and generation of various test cases for Unit / Integration / User acceptance and regression tests and results.
They will also be in charge for on-time delivery of the project deliverables using the Customer project methodology and securing acceptance and sign-off documents of SAP SD deliverables. Lastly, they need to conduct knowledge sharing sessions for project handover and support business after production go live activities.

One of the things I appreciate the most is the company culture regarding asking questions. Not the worst, but one minor issue I have (probably just because I'm new to the set-up) is that I'm working closely with a team that I don't even see or talk to in person. Being the first in the BTA-QS team to support SG, I only have my onshore counterparts and teammates to consult with for work questions and other related things. It feels weird to me for the time being, but I'll get used to it with time
