Culture at Aurecon PH

There's no strict hierarchical system in the office which makes it easier to voice out your opinion on things. People in higher position are also open to criticisms to improve the system in the company. People are also generally friendly even after work hours. The afterwork events are mostly like open invites to anyone in the company interested to join.

We are highly encouraged to a work-life balance, and after work hours we are not obligated to respond. We also get to discuss with project in-charge our schedule (and leaves) so that we can manage time and deliverables accordingly. My co-graduates and I have a strong bond and we exchange invaluable insights to help each other keep posted. My teammates are very approachable. They encourage me to ask questions when I need clarifications. We are not hindered to have a conversation with professionals who supervise us, rather we are encouraged to practice being confident and keep it casual but with respect.

The company and its employees are very respectful and are fun to be around. They respect the boundaries between work and personal life. The company also promotes curiosity and asking questions, which is especially helpful as a fresh graduate.

Everyone is so chill, both during and after work hours. The bosses are approachable and supportive. Even as a lowly Graduate, I feel like my contributions matter. It’s fun to socialise with my colleagues, as well—people are chill and friendly.

There is indeed structure and hierarchy, as in any company, but here, you don't feel like there is one in terms of the company environment. You share the same space with your manager and your country head, making you feel that there is no barrier literally and figuratively. You can talk to them, be inspired by them, and it really makes you feel valued and truly seen. Each team is also very supportive, they generously spare you some time when you need some clarity on a concept or a project, or just anything in between. Our colleagues are also very sociable; even though you belong in different teams, they always invite you to any of their plans after work. Truly a great place to work.

I think the structure and hierarchy in this company is more of just for the positions. But they encourage us to take note of the people from each discipline and/or department so that we know who to message directly when we need help, what I mean by this is that even though we're just entry-level employees, we can already communicate directly with higher/senior-level employees, and not just our manager.

No one is left behind, and there’s a genuine effort to make sure everyone feels included. Even if you are new or don't know someone well, you are warmly welcomed into conversations and activities.
